In my piece I wanted to encourage people in this upcoming election to vote yes on California’s proposition 3. It would amend the California constitution to guarantee the fundamental right to marriage, no matter your gender or race. I want to encourage people to use their voice and vote, it’s the foundation of our democracy and if you want something to change, you have got to fight for it! 🇺🇸🏳️🌈
My entry discusses hate crimes and how we can prevent them. Not many people are educated about hate crimes, so my film discusses how we can stop them and end them as soon as possible. My film provides pictures of protests against hate crimes.
I’m lucky to have things that make me happy. I’m lucky I can share it with other kids and perhaps help them in the process.
It’s another election year, and a report from Rutgers University estimates that over 40 million individuals who are dealing with disabilities are eligible to vote in the United States. Millions more live in a household with a disabled person. Together, disabled Americans and people who live with them make up about one third of the U.S. voting population.
My film deals with the needs of disabled Americans in regards to in home services, affordable housing, accessibility of public spaces, and the need for continued mask wearing by the wider population. During a time when elections are very tight, the disabled community has the power to push politicians to meet their needs.
This entry is for the people that are too scared to vote and aren’t informed of what voting effects. Many people ask for a lot for the community which causes them to blame individuals that have no control. It’s a problem that we have social media to inform others about election and teach them the importance of it. As future voter we need to educate them and vise versa. It’s important to take account how this effect not just a small part of the county party but more then that it effect me as a student.
Life is hard enough, but we have to continue to combat issues that shouldn’t exist to begin with. My submission is about racism.
My poem is about how people can sometimes trick themselves into thinking that they’re a burden for reaching out for help. I want to emphasize that they’re not a burden, and what they’re going through is valid. Sometimes it can be hard to reach out and trust someone to talk to them, but it’s usually the right thing to do for yourself.

Many young people struggle with mental health challenges in silence. Our video seeks to highlight the importance of understanding that it is okay to seek help. We want to create a safe space where discussing feelings is normalized and hope to dismantle the stigma surrounding mental health issues.
