“Hot Pot” shows an Asian son not knowing how to confide in his father. The son is struggling in school and with his mental health; he does not want to disappoint his father who came to America for his education. By the end of the film, the son works up the courage to express his stress and struggles to his dad.

“Cambiemos el Pasado” tackles the burdens put on youth when they feel pressured to live up to the expectations of immigrant parents. The film discusses the stress and anxiety that unachievable standards can cause and asks parents to break the cycle of generational trauma.

QB Beats Anxiety

This film focuses on the stress faced by many student atheletes, as well as the impact it can have on their mental health.

To Reach Out

“To Reach Out” is about a student who is sad, distant, and lonely. Though he’s been isolating socially, he reaches out to explain his mental health struggles. When his friend responds, it helps him get support from a counselor.

United in Support

This film is about how important it is to get help, as well as how much better youth can feel if they reach out.

Breaking the Silence

“Breaking the Silence” shows that youth sometimes overlook warning signs that their peers could be struggling with mental health and encourages viewers to uplift and support one another.

This art piece represents what I would say to a friend in need. Shared experiences and friends help people open up and speak their mind.

You Are Never A Bother

It is important for my friends to know that they are never a bother. They can come to me with any problems, and as a peer mentor, I want to be there for my friends and point them in the right direction.
