I’m lucky to have things that make me happy. I’m lucky I can share it with other kids and perhaps help them in the process.
Our film follows a teenage girl who is struggling under academic pressure and high expectations, questioning her worth. She finds hope during this hard time when she is reminded that there is beauty in everyday interactions, keeping in mind that the scope of one kind gestures is greater than expected.
Hey You is a short film going with the monthly prompt Never a Bother. It’s a film showing the viewers that not only friends are there for you but teachers and adults on campus. It’s under 60 seconds and we used classmates, our teacher, and office staff to have a moment to talk to the audience.
Our video shows a reliable way to get help from trusted teens whenever you need it. Our video also represents the struggle with loneliness and depression. Our video also shows the importance of mental health awareness.
During a school counselor presentation about suicide prevention a student hears the warning signs and realizes their friend needs help. After trying to break through many times they finally get through and their friend finds hope and asks for help.
It’s a story in text about someone who get bullied and his friends help him by giving him the resources and giving him space to thru his struggles and assure him they’re always available when ever he is ready to talk to them.
It show the struggles of two siblings that don’t have a father figure growing up, and how it affects their mental health and their life.
Our submission is to spread awareness of mental health illnesses and how to help others struggling with it.
